What started as weekend discussions about market volatility between three finance professionals in Perth eventually became something bigger. We noticed how many Australians felt overwhelmed by investment jargon and complex financial strategies. The idea was simple: create educational content that actually makes sense. By late 2018, we had our first online course covering basic portfolio theory, and surprisingly, 47 people signed up in the first month.
Growth Through Authenticity
The pandemic changed everything about how people approached their finances. Suddenly, everyone wanted to understand markets, but most resources were either too academic or too simplified. We found our sweet spot: practical analysis techniques that real people could actually use. Our research methodology course became particularly popular when we showed students how to evaluate ASX-listed companies using publicly available data. Word spread organically, and by 2021, we had over 800 students across our programs.
